King Raghavendra is a story of inspiration with a moral. The main character of the story Raghavendra is an irresponsible king who did not care about his subjects but only for his own welfare and well-being. He remained confined to the four walls of his beautiful palace and led a life of luxury and comfort. His bosom friend King Chitrasena paid a visit to him and was much disturbed to see the sorry state of affairs in the kingdom. He could see pain lit large in the eyes of the people who were completely left to their faith by their ruler. He wanted to speak with his friend regarding this matter but showed restraint. After all, Raghavendra did not like anyone advising him!
Once as the friends were engrossed in a game of dice, a young Brahmin boy seeks the King's aid to have a medicinal herb that grew in the palace garden for the sake of his ailing father.
Would Raghavendra for once come to the rescue of his subjects? Or would he yet again display his callous attitude towards them?
