The King was to die within two months according to the curse! Sorrow and fear grips Raghavendra about his impending faith. His dear friend Chitrasena could not bear to see him thus. After returning to his kingdom, Chitrasena was paid a visit by the renowned sage Yogananda. The sage was on a pilgrimage and had come to see the famous temple of Mahakali of Chitrasena's kingdom. Taking the opportunity, Chitrasena requested the sage to meet Raghavendra and make him come out of his agonised state of mind. The sage agreed and met Raghavendra.
