This is a story of an indolent King who hardly cared about his subjects. One day he declined to offer a rare medicinal herb that grew only in the palace garden to a young Brahmin boy for curing his father. This finally resulted in the death of the boy’s father. Shivering with fury, the boy cursed the King of meeting a similar death wherein he would fall sick and fail to get remedy for his illness a couple of months from now! The Brahmin boy declared that he would celebrate his father’s birthday on that day when the King died!
